| I, like Jared, always got an "old soul" tone from every Joker. idk how to explain, but it's something out of folklore, or Greek tragedy. he's just got an old sprit about the character. and Jared has clearly encapsulated this trait, with the laugh. it sounds so menacing, and also like the Emperor from Star Wars. pure evil. he is also balancing this out with a 1920s Broadway theatre type charisma that is so interesting to watch. he is so expressive physically, unlike any other Joker(heath was too, but it wasn't as cartoonish) he's so animated as well. also, this is the first time he isn't completely caked with make up, and he does really good face acting to show off his quirkiness. BTW don't just judge by his appearance, if you were a Joker fan as atleast I am, then you would be analyzing every single piece of footage of Jared as the Joker, and you will already find, even before the movie has come out, that he IS 3 dimensional character, who has all the nuanses of the Joker that we all know and love. I'm with ya, I hate that promo image, because if you do actually take the time to analyze, it is obviously a TERRIBLE representation of what he will be in the movie. | Lisa Beard |
